I was struck by this quote in the last month, for reasons that still haven’t made themselves entirely clear.
It seems a clear, unequivocal statement.
But the meaning any of us take from integrity is an entirely personal matter.
For me it’s complete, unfettered honesty. For others something (almost) altogether different.
Jeremy Corbyn will be the next elected Prime Minister of the UK (click here to find out why and why it doesn’t matter).
I imagine he views himself as having complete integrity (don’t they all?).
In his own way I’m sure he does but more in the high mindedness, unbending type meaning of the word.
No matter, it’ll be enough to get him a majority.
His version of integrity is, simply, more attractive and in fashion than many other versions.
