Go to the corners

by | Mar 24, 2024 | General News

I was walking Frankie in a rectangular field the other day, where many others walk.

A clear path has formed what I noticed is that it does not go into the corners – all the corners are cut.

Cutting corners comes easily to us, but it’s not always to our benefit, for example:

• Shaving a few yards off the dog walk – no one is likely to come a cropper.
• Not getting a full survey on a house purchase – could be trouble and it could be costly.

In the moment cutting corners seems reasonable – get back sooner because it’s another busy day or save a few quid because the new place needs money spent elsewhere.

But what if we had gone to the corners? We would experience and know something different.

A fitter dog and a fitter you, the certain knowledge all’s ok with the house you love or that you need to walk because you could come to hate it.

Going to the corners can often be to our advantage.

Food for thought isn’t it?
