CHANGE

by | Aug 27, 2023 | General News

It’s easy to be scared of change, but things change all the time whether we like it or not. There really isn’t a status quo. This suggests to me that embracing most changes will probably end up being a smart thing to do.

Even better if you can come up with more changes than not, that way you also benefit from (the illusion of?) some control. And the thing I’ve found with changes I’ve tried is that, if they don’t work out, it’s a pretty simple task to go back to how things were before.

That applies to business and personal matters. You would not believe the number of changes I’ve tried only to untry them in the face of evidence rather than conjecture.

That’s true of most changes we are faced with, isn’t it? Suck it and see is a better option than not trying the change until absolutely convinced. And who is ever 100% convinced or convincing anyway?

So being the instigator of change and being willing to try the new whilst being able to revert to the old if needs be is a safe and sensible position to be in. And you never know, the more changes you instigate the more likely you are to move and get ahead.

Sitting still is never really an option, is it?
