Needs vs Wants
What we need and what we want are often confused.
We need very little – food, water, air and shelter.
We mistakenly think we need intimacy, coffee, laughter etc.
In fact we simply want them, and that’s ok but having them or should not affect our senses of well-being if we categorise them correctly.
Mistaking wants for needs, and the lack thereof, is where the suffering starts.
If only…
Only when you know yourself, can others know you.
Only when you understand yourself, can others understand you.
Only when you accept yourself, can others accept you.
Only when you love yourself, can others love you.
If only?
