How about these?

Don’t say sorry, say thank you

I think there is a very sound way to assess the health of any relationship – personal or otherwise.

We all behave inappropriately from time to time, get lost in unhelpful thinking, become inconsiderate and it affects the relationship we are in.

Our reaction to that person behaving in those ways speaks volumes for the health of the relationship.

If we demand apologies what does that say about us? And how is that likely to make them feel?

What if we met their turbulence with understanding and calmness? How would they react then? With gratitude perhaps?

The first option does not feel as strong and positive as the second.

In a meaningful, loving relationship is it better to find yourself apologising for behaviour or being grateful for their understanding?

Waiting for the tooth fairy?

Do you have beliefs?

Are you sure your beliefs are the truth?

Are there areas of life where things aren’t quite working out?

Could that be attributed what you hold to be true?

How many of things you believed when you were four do you still believe today?

Father Christmas? The tooth fairy? Your parents being invincible? That you and Johnny or Janey will be together forever?

What about today’s beliefs?

Didn’t evidence of Father Christmas, the tooth fairy etc. abound?

Didn’t you ignore evidence that didn’t match your belief?

Could that be true of your beliefs today?

What are you ignoring?

Or are you still waiting for the tooth fairy to visit?
