It would be fair to say that 2022 has been a transformative year for TCFP.
Since engaging Mary Taylor as our business consultant, we have worked on a root and branch overhaul of how TCFP operates. In the world of cars this would be called a rebuild.
As a result, I believe we have improved every aspect of what we do. Some changes will take time to show, others may never be seen but were needed, some were easy, others not so.
I have always felt it is my responsibility to make sure that TCFP is in the best possible shape to serve you, regardless of what the world might throw at us. That cannot happen by standing still.
The visible changes include saying goodbye to Mark, Katie, Ian, Lainey and Siobhan – I thank them for their dedication to TCFP and wish them all the best for what comes next.
In 2022 we welcomed Zoe and Louise and Mary and Suzan as consultants to TCFP. And we also changed the way we work in different ways, and we continue to assess who does what and for what purpose.
And then there is me, with my youngest starting school in September I have more time in my working week. I thought long and hard about how to fill that time.
Out of all the options available, the only one I kept returning to was being more involved and visible to TCFP clients. So that is what I decided to do and, three months in, I can say that captaining the TCFP ship is more enjoyable than it has ever been.
Change allows us the opportunity to progress, but it is not without risk, so must be well considered. For all the changes implemented many were discarded, and for good reason.
This is not change for changes sake, they are changes with a single purpose in mind – to look after you and your family better than ever for decades to come.
Our ethos and motivation remain the same, we simply look to do it better and better every year.
