A couple of things that came to me recently…
When less gets me more
Or….
Things I’ve taken away and what I’ve got more of in return.
Less eating
Less alcohol
Less buying
Less travel
Less media
Less active thinking
More rested
More energy
More present
More patience
More time
More life?
What would you add? Or take away?
Only the long-run matters?
I was struck by this post from Seth Godin.
I find the logic faultless – the only run in the end is the long-run.
My addition is that the long run ALWAYS rewards:
- patience
- honesty
- listening
- flexibility
- intelligence
- compassion
….amongst others.
And punishes:
- selfishness
- deceit
- inattention
- rudeness
- ignorance
….amongst others. Even though in the short-run these may be well rewarded.
But are we here for a short or long time?
