It’s rare to meet anyone these days who simply stops work in their 60s. Typically you want to do fewer hours or something different, but not doing anything no longer looks like a palatable option.
That’s no surprise really. In your 60s these days you’re immeasurably fitter and healthier than just a couple of generations ago. And at age 60 you’re looking at another 30 years of time to fill up, 20 of them in “quite active” mode.
