Only the other week I was thinking they couldn’t possible last much longer.
I mean, for their product to be truly effective you need to constant access to your mobile. At least that’s how it looks in the TV ad.
And who has that sort of access to make the most of this video doorbell?
We’re in meetings, wrestling a much loved soft toy out of a neurotic cocker spaniel’s mouth, rushing to yoga etc. etc. I barely seem to have the time to pick up a call on my mobile let alone answer the door.
Silly product, silly idea. I was in pretty decent company – the US version of Dragons’ Den rejected it too in 2013.
Amazon bought the company for $1bn last week.
